Wimbledon has much to celebrate. The town centre has shown remarkable resilience to the economic storms experienced by UK High Streets and commercial office spaces in London and elsewhere. As one of South West London’s premier destinations, and with comprehensive transport connections, it is a prime example of the successful reinvention of town centres.
As Wimbledon evolves, we have big ambitions. We want to maintain Wimbledon’s status as a sought after workplace location and destination and grow its attractiveness for investors and businesses. We want to secure new hotels, workspaces and retailers and to showcase how culture and experience have created a solid heart to Wimbledon.
On Tuesday 1 October 2024, we are held a major conference at the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon: a forum for 200 key stakeholders to discuss how best to attract new investment and prestigious office occupiers and how to extend the visitor offer on the high street.
